Obituary from Whitewood newspaper: "The death of Mrs. Humphrey Dayman which took place at her home in Whitewood on Friday last, removes another of the very early pioneers of the district. Her death was the result of an illness of long duration, during which time she had been a great sufferer. Deceased was 69 years and 3 months old. The late Mrs. Dayman came to this district when it was first settled, with her husband and family. They engaged in farming, and their kind hospitable manner made them many friends. A family of four sons and four daughters mourn the death of a mother; namely, Mrs. A.H. Wiley, Mrs. J.L. Lamont, of Whitewood; Mrs. Butt, Saskatoon, Mrs. F. Size, Esterhazy; Peter, of Windthorst; William, Saskatoon; Edward, Whitewood, and George now with his battalion in France. The funeral took place on Sunday from the home of the deceased, and was one of the largest to be held in the district for some time. Rev.W. Waugh conducted a short service at the house and cemetery. Messrs. W. Curry, W.Page, W.Murray, T. Maloney, J.Grierson and R.Street were the pall bearers."
